EIEP x NSBE: Elevate the Next Gen
ELEVATE 2024 WILL BE ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2024 AT THE UIC STUDENT CENTER EAST!
Elevate is a one-day FREE program hosted by the Equity and Inclusion in Engineering Program in collaboration with the UIC chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) to celebrate National STEM Day! This event provides an exceptional opportunity for high school students from historically underrepresented ethnic and racial backgrounds to immerse themselves in the exciting world of engineering. Participants will explore the dynamic majors offered at UIC College of Engineering, gaining insights and inspiration for their future academic and professional journeys. During this event, students will:
· Engage in interactive, hands-on engineering activities and captivating demonstrations
· Network with members of the UIC NSBE Chapter and the enthusiastic College of Engineering staff
· Uncover the diverse and exciting engineering majors available at UIC
· Discover the myriad of exhilarating career opportunities within the engineering field
· Connect with esteemed engineering faculty and experienced industry professionals
Elevate participants will be encouraged to continue engaging with the College of Engineering through additional outreach programs and to apply to our institution. They will also have the exclusive opportunity to be considered for scholarships supporting their academic journey at UIC!
