Let's celebrate we are FIRST GEN & PROUD!

Did you know that November 8th is First-Generation College Celebration Day? This celebration, launched by the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) and the NASPA Center for First-generation Student Success, commemorates the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965 by President Lyndon B. Johnson, and advances an asset-based national narrative on first-generation student experiences and outcomes. So, join EIEP for a FIRST GEN MIXER to elevate the identities and contributions of first-generation college students, staff, and faculty at UIC!

Our mixer will include a delicious meal, ice breakers, and a FIRST GEN Kahoot Game with prizes!
